Students who study German focus on literature, linguistics, culture, and film. Students enhance their language studies in German for the professions, including Business German and German for Scientists and Engineers.

German offers summer, semester, and year-long programs in study abroad in locations such as the University of Freiburg, Graz, Austria, and Swiss Federal Institute of Technology.  Students who study German are actively learning in and outside of the classroom.  

All liberal arts majors prepare students with the skills identified as contributing to managerial success:  communicating and listening well, possessing insights into others, creative/critical thinking, problem solving, and the ability to make connections across complex ideas.
