On-Campus Group Visits

Thank you for your interest in bringing your students to explore Purdue! Group Visits with the Purdue Office of Admissions are designed for middle school and high-school-age students. A group visit is an opportunity for prospective students to visit campus together, whether that be with their school or another organization.

Before you register, here’s what you need to know

  • Group Visits are offered most Wednesdays from 10:00am-12:30 p.m. EST in the Fall and Spring terms.
  • All tours start at 10:00 a.m. from the Boilermaker Welcome Station. You’ll begin with a 30-minute admissions presentation followed by a 90-minute campus tour.
    • We recommend not scheduling lunch or other campus activities before 12:30 p.m.
  • Group size should be at least 15 and no more than a total of 90 students.
  • Groups should include at least one adult chaperone for every 15 students.
  • There is a lot of walking, so wear comfortable shoes and dress appropriately for rain (bring umbrellas) and snow.
  • We are unable to show student residence rooms or lectures halls on our tours.
  • Food is not permitted in the presentation room.
  • You are welcome to plan ahead so that after the campus tour and presentation, your group can enjoy lunch at one of our student dining courts. For costs and availability, contact: dining-reservations@purdue.edu.
  • We cannot accommodate pets on Group Visits. Service animals are exempt from this restriction. To learn more, please review our operating procedures for service animals on campus.
On the Day of Your Visit
  • Keep in mind West Lafayette is on Eastern Time, and we observe Daylight Saving Time. Please arrive on time; significant delays may mean we will not be able to accommodate your group.
  • If you are running late, please call (765) 494-1776, so we can attempt to adjust your visit itinerary. Groups arriving more than 30 minutes late are not guaranteed a tour. Current students guide our campus tours and their schedules are set in advance. A late arrival may result in the cancellation of the tour and/or the presentation.
    • Groups arriving 15 minutes late will not receive the information session.
    • Groups arriving 45 minutes late or more will have the visit automatically cancelled.
  • Encourage your students to ask questions, so that they get the most out of the visit.
  • Ensure that everyone in your group is respectful of Purdue students, staff, facilities and personal property. Failure to do so could result in early conclusion of the visit and limited availability for future visits by your organization.
  • Enjoy your time on campus!
