Engineering Course Equivalencies at Indiana Public Colleges

One of the requirements to transfer into a Purdue engineering professional school is to have completed nine courses that are equivalent to courses students complete during the Purdue First-Year Engineering Program. Some Indiana institutions offer these equivalencies and you may use the table below to identify the courses at these schools.

** ENGR 18100 (5 credits) can substitute for both the ENGR 13200 requirement (2 credits) and the Science Selective (3 credits).

*** No equivalency has been established for CS 15900 at these institutions. Students from these institutions may transfer into Purdue-West Lafayette with FYE complete through the use of the Chemistry courses for the Science Selective. In some Engineering majors, CS 15900 may be required following entry to Purdue.

¹IUPUI courses ENGR 19500 and ENGR 19600 at IUPUI Indianapolis are considered equivalent to ENGR 10000 and ENGR 12600 at Purdue-West Lafayette. These IUPUI courses also satisfy the Purdue-West Lafayette ENGR 13100 and ENGR 13200 requirements of Biomedical Engineering).
