Use the plan of study as a research tool for choosing a major. Read the course titles and descriptions and see if the content fits what you are hoping to learn through your higher education experience. These may very well end up being your courses, so it gives you something to look forward to but also prepare for. Plus, you’ll impress your advisor when it’s time to register and you already have a plan!
Mackey Arena is an easy choice for anyone’s favorite location on campus, but for me it’s not only the iconic games and moments I’ve witnessed as a fan. As a student, I took a chance and signed up to be a practice player for our Women’s basketball team. Through that experience I met some of my favorite people on this planet, landed a spot on the coaching staff, won two Big Ten Championship rings, but most importantly met my future wife who played for Purdue from 2008-2012. Now when we take our two kids down the ramp on to Keady Court, all of the memories come rushing back and I can’t help but think that maybe someday they’ll get to make their own memories under that beautiful gold roof.
