My advice to students is to view the college application process as the first step along the college journey with college graduation being the final step. While the college application process can be overwhelming it's a great opportunity for self-discovery. Use the college search and essays to reflect on your strengths and interests, what excites you, how your personal experiences have shaped you, and how you envision using your education to positively contribute to your community or society. This will help you craft an authentic application and gain clarity on your future goals. Don't stress about what you want to major in; think about what problems you want to solve.
Favorite Location/Tradition: Purdue’s tradition of student involvement runs deep. Student organizations like Purdue Student Government, the Reamer Club, and NSBE (National Society of Black Engineers) to name a few, have shaped campus life for decades, fostering leadership, tradition, and community on and off campus. Student organizations are the lifeblood of campus life.
