Animal Sciences prepares students to make an immediate impact upon graduation in the very diverse field of animal agriculture. Students gain a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of food animal production, from nutrition to reproductive physiology to economics.

Additionally, our state-of-the-art campus facilities (Creighton Hall of Animal Sciences and the Land O' Lakes Center for Experiential Learning) as well as our multiple-species farm (Animal Sciences Research and Education Center) provide students with countless hands-on opportunities to apply what they learn in real-life scenarios.

Careers in Animal Sciences (multiple concentrations)

Animal Sciences graduates are prepared for careers in animal production, sales and agribusiness, meat science, research, nutrition, zoos, animal welfare, and reproduction, among a host of other areas. Graduates who wish to continue their education beyond the bachelor's degree are also very competitive for top graduate (MS or PhD) or veterinary medicine (DVM) programs around the world.
