Jewish Studies
Purdue University in West Lafayette
Jewish Studies promotes an understanding of all aspects of Jewish life, culture, language, literature, religion, and history. As a multidisciplinary program, it is composed of faculty members from English, German, History, Philosophy, Religious Studies, Sociology and Eastern European and Semitic Languages. A major and a minor in Jewish Studies are offered, and there is considerable flexibility in fashioning a program for individual interests and goals. Extracurricular activities complement the academic course of study.
All liberal arts majors prepare students with the skills identified as contributing to managerial success: communicating and listening well, possessing insights into others, creative/critical thinking, problem solving and the ability to make connections across complex ideas.
